This notice explains how SnapHive (“SnapHive”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when event owners and guests use SnapHive.
Who is responsible for your information
SnapHive operates SnapHive and is responsible for the account, payment, support and service information described here. Event owners decide who receives their private event link and how submitted memories are shared within their event.
Information we collect
We collect account details, event settings, support messages and payment references from event owners. When someone contributes to an event, we process the photographs, videos, names and messages they choose to submit, together with technical information such as upload time, file type, device or browser data, IP address and security logs.
Why we use it
We use information to provide the service and fulfil purchases; secure accounts and private events; prevent fraud, misuse and technical failures; answer support requests; meet legal obligations; and improve public pages where analytics consent has been given. These activities rely on performing our contract, complying with law, consent where required, and our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service.
Offers and marketing emails
If you separately choose to receive exclusive offers, product news and event inspiration, we record that choice and use your email address for those messages. This is optional, is not required to use SnapHive, and can be switched off at any time in Account settings or through the unsubscribe option in a marketing email.
Payments, analytics and service providers
Stripe processes card payments, so SnapHive does not store full card details. Cloudflare provides private media and delivery infrastructure, Resend delivers service emails, and Google Analytics measures public-page use only after consent. We share only the information each provider needs to perform its service and use appropriate safeguards where processing takes place internationally.
Private events and media
Customer events are excluded from search engines and media is not publicly enumerable. Anyone given a valid event link may be able to upload, and may be able to view owner-approved memories if the owner enables the guest gallery. Event owners should share links carefully and tell attendees how their event will use submitted content.
Retention and deletion
Event media is retained for the period included with the purchased package, calculated from the event date or purchase date if later. Guest access closes at expiry. Uploaded memories are kept for a further seven-day renewal window, then permanently deleted if the package is not extended. An extension adds the same package duration to the existing expiry date at 50% of the normal package price, with applicable tax shown at checkout. Original promotional discounts do not apply to extensions. Owners can delete events sooner and should download important originals before expiry. Account, security, support and transaction records are retained only while needed for the service, disputes, fraud prevention, backups or legal and tax obligations.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Owners can export or delete their account from account settings. Guests and owners can email support@snaphive.cloud for a privacy request or complaint. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
Cookies
SnapHive uses essential cookies for sign-in, security and private-event access. After consent, optional Google Analytics cookies measure public pages and short-lived first-party cookies preserve anonymous campaign labels through package selection, signup and confirmed payment. Conversion analytics excludes names, email addresses, event details, private links and uploaded media. You can change your analytics choice using Cookie settings.
Children
SnapHive is not intended for children to create accounts or purchase packages. Event owners are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission before collecting or sharing images of children.
Contact and changes
Contact support@snaphive.cloud with privacy questions. We may update this notice when the service or legal requirements change and will publish the revised date here.
